PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES… District 204 is using PowerPTC, a online service that allows parents at all grade levels to easily schedule parent-teacher conferences. In order to use the service, you will use your Home Access Center (HAC) login and password. When you login into the Home Access Center you will find a link to PowerPTC where you will enter this information. Listed below is a screenshot detailing the location in HAC. â€”Once your account is set up, You will be able to schedule your conferences during the following times:
Scheduling opens Monday, October 15th at 10 am, closes October 26th at 4 pm.
Parent-teacher conferences are November 1st and 5th.

You will be directed to the PowerPTC login page. Your username and password are the same as HAC. If you’re unsure of your HAC credentials, please contact Welch’s Main Office at 630.428.7200.
Once logged in you will be directed to the screen below. You will not be able to select your organization until the window opens on Monday, October 15 at 10:00 AM.

WELCH SALUTE VETERANS… On Friday, November 9th, Welch Elementary School will celebrate Veteran’s Day at an all school assembly. At 2:15 PM students will honor our Veterans and celebrate our freedom. We are asking students to wear red, white and blue to help honor our Veterans.
A reception has been planned prior to the assembly. Veterans, along with their families and Welch student(s), are invited to attend. Upon arrival, the Veterans student will be called down to join them for the reception. We need an accurate count of how many Veterans and Veteran’s families will be attending so we can accommodate all those in attendance. Please fill out the attached form if you will be attending and return to Mrs. Gleason by October 26th.
We will create a Wall of Honor to represent past, present, and future Veterans. The wall will be located in the front display cabinets by the office. Stars with the names of veterans and current military members will adorn the wall. A portion of the display will be dedicated “In Memory” of those Veterans who are no longer living. If you wish to submit names and/or pictures for the wall, please fill out the form on the attached page or email the information to firstname.lastname@example.org by October 26th. Please include which branch of the military your honored Veteran served in.

We owe so much to our troops and this gives us an opportunity to show our appreciation and gratitude for their service. WINTER COAT AND BOOT DRIVE... Fall is the time of year to clean out our closets, and during the month of October, we are holding a district-wide winter coat and boot collection. Due to the growing need in our district we will be collecting new or gently used, clean coats of all sizes (infant through adult), in addition to other winter accessories (boots, hats, coats, scarves, snow pants, etc.). The coats will be distributed to families in need within our district in early November.
Welch Elementary School will be collecting clean, gently worn coats and boots from Monday October 22nd through Friday October 26th, 2018. Please drop off in the bin in the school’s front lobby.
